The last few days I’ve been filing my rather large behind off in preparation for the Lie-Nielsen Hand Tool event in Connecticut this Friday.
If you live in New England and are free this Friday the 19th then you owe it to yourself to head down to the CT Valley School of Woodworking on Manchester, CT. I will be there all day (on Friday…NOT Saturday!) at the event, and I’m bringing a bunch of tuned up, top of the line user saws for sale. These saws are razor sharp and ready to kill wood. No waiting, no turn around times….all of these saws are freshly filed and ready to use. I’m bringing my saw bench and hook so you can fall in love before you buy. Show up with money and take one or two or three home. I’ll have full size handsaws, some panel saws and maybe a backsaw or two. I’m also going to be pricing these little guys to sell…my boy is going through diapers faster than you can cut balsa.
And if you went to the L-N event in CT last year, than you know it’s a great time. My good buddy Josh Clark is going to be there selling tools, as well as the incomparable Tico Vogt, and Matt Bickford with his funny little planes. And don’t forget the good folks at Lie-Nielsen and they’re wonderful tools.
So do yourself a favor and skip work, lie to your wife, sell a kidney on ebay or do whatever you have to do to get there. Just get there. This Friday, October 19th. 10am to 6pm. Manchester, CT. The Flint Mega-Bowl of hand tool events.
Oh, and as usual, I’ll also be taking in new work from customers, so feel free to show up with your saws in need of sharpening.
See you there!
-Matt
